We had our wedding reception here in the event area on 9/21/24, and our experience was great! Everyone said it was the best wedding they have been to. I love that they have a private bar in the event area and allowed us to bring our own DJ. Everyone was so happy with the service, the food, the cocktails, the vibe, and our favorite bartender Khalid!
Super cute outdoor restaurant with a little something for everyone. Try the smoked pineapple cerveza Cocktail. It was great. Portions were huge. Started with queso and by the time the carnitas showed up i was so full I could barely get down one taco. Servers were the right amount of attentive - not annoying in your face but also not impossible to flag down. Love the secured parking option and that the whole restaurant is dog friendly
I've been there twice. Once for a company party at night and for lunch with work friends. The food is excellent and you get some nice fresh air sitting in an open air area or under a covered area. Well priced and good fresh food. The service was excellent and the tortillas seemed like they were made to order. Good spot in Oakland which is rare. I recommend it for good Mexican food and fun with a small or big group.
Last weekend we had a reunion at Nido's backyard and it was a wonderful experience! The staff was amazing, very attentive and the food was delicious! We appreciated the details like the sustainable cutlery and plates. La plaza was clean and comfortable for our guests and everyone had a great time. I will definitely recommend Nido's backyard to my friends and colleagues as the perfect place in Oakland to eat and have an amazing party!
The ambiance here gives a hip Californian vibe that stays true to its Mexican roots… it was well heated and the service was quite fast. The only downside I had was that our plates didn’t get cleared till we were about to leave. 2 hours later. Other than that, it was fun!
Everything was delicious, from drinks to apps to entrees. But his time, everything got spicier. I’m not complaining but my wife objected to the heat.
There is a dish for everyone seriously. They have vegan/vegetarian options and even a burger. Some of the dishes are great like the fish tacos and others are standard. Great vibe and nice staff
Wandered in on a Wednesday and it was popping! Grabbed a seat at the bar and a tres Rojas and some chips and quac, which complimented each other nicely. The service was surprisingly fast considering it looked like there were 70 people in there when I rolled up.
Just what we wanted after a walk and before the airport! The atmosphere was fun. Made from containers with outside seating. Great planters look like mini containers. Clear vegan options. The grilled veggies were sorted (romanesco cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, potatoes, carrots, and onions) and grilled with a little crunch left! The tortillas taste homemade and may have some blue corn flour. The lunch plates were filling and tasty. Good quick service.
WOW! What treat! Had an amazing dinner with friends on Monday night! The decor is colorful and inviting and the outdoor patio space is huge and spacious for large groups. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food was tasty and flavorful.
